Jonathan Marino

Jon supports a network of states, district/school leaders, and teachers convened by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) to explore innovative practice in teaching and learning. An Illinois native and apologist, Jon’s recent adventures include working for the Chicago Public Schools, studying in Uganda as a Fulbright Scholar, and co-directing the Center for Global Engagement at Northwestern University. James Anderson

James spends his time working on environmental science and media issues with the World Resources Institute, an environmental think tank based in DC.  After completing college among the soybean fields of Grinnell, Iowa,  his projects have taken him to rural Alaska  and the central Namib desert, where he served as a research fellow at the Gobabeb Training and Research Centre.  Email him here or listen to him play mandolin with a rising DC bluegrass band, Woody Cabin.
